What we keep when you get in touch, why, for how long, and how this site counts visits.

Who we are

Jump Web Design, Navan, Co. Meath. For anything on this page, email info@jumpwebdesign.ie or call 087 332 1076.

What you send us

  • The call-back form on this site: the phone number or email address you type, and the page you sent it from. Formspree, a US company, delivers it to our inbox.
  • Our Facebook and Instagram forms: your name, phone number, business name, trade and website, which Meta passes to us when you fill one in.
  • Calls, texts and emails: your number or address and what you tell us.

We use these details only to reply to you and, if you become a client, to do the work and keep our accounts. The legal basis is your request to us and, for clients, our contract. Our email runs on Google's Gmail. We never sell your details or pass them to anyone else.

How long we keep it

An enquiry that goes no further is deleted within 12 months. Client records are kept for six years, as Revenue requires.

How this site counts visits

We count visits with our own analytics, which runs on Cloudflare in the EU. It uses no cookies and keeps no IP addresses for counting: to tell new visitors from returning ones it uses codes that change every day and cannot be traced back once the day is over, and it keeps only totals such as page views, referring sites, country and browser type. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in understanding how the site is used. You can opt out on our opt-out page, and browsers that send Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track are never counted.

To protect the site from abuse, the IP address and browser details of requests that do not behave like a person are kept for up to 72 hours, then deleted, and an address is deleted at once when a visit shows it comes from a person. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in keeping the site secure.

The site has no advertising trackers and no Google Analytics. Its fonts load from Google Fonts, so Google sees your IP address when your browser fetches them.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of what we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, or object to how we use it: email info@jumpwebdesign.ie. If you are unhappy with our answer, you can complain to the Data Protection Commission at dataprotection.ie.
